Greenshank, an easily overlooked Beauty.

I have a soft spot for Greenshank, visiting the UK on migration and not usually staying for long before continuing their journey to their Wintering grounds in Africa or breeding grounds in Scandinavia and northern Russia.
The RSPB Leighton Moss saltwater lagoons are a reliable site to see them usually loading along the fringes of Redshank or Lapwing gatherings. Photographed from the Eric Morecombe hide.
